![]() I think I have a new favorite coffee! I recently tried Green Mountain's Lake and Lodge. It's a dark roasted coffee with a great sweet-smokey flavor. It reminds me of a coffee (I think it was labeled as Guatamalen Antigua) that I had in college at a little Mom-and-Pop shop that roasted their own beans in the store (that was about 12 years ago). Up until now, I'd never found another coffee that had quite the same flavor as did that Mom-and-Pop roast, but now I think I've found it. I prepared the coffee in my French Press, with 4 tablespoons of coffee, 14 ounces of water and a 3-4 minute brew times. Man it's good. I only have one bag of it for now and have a lot of other coffees to go through until I can order more, so I save it for when I really want a treat. Pretty soon I'll have tasted just about everything Green Mountain has to offer and will stick to ordering just my 2 or 3 favorites from then on. Lake and Lodge will defineatley be one of them! |
