I recently bought the wife and myself each a 1GB U3 Flash drive. I did this mostly because I wanted to be able to use the U3 version of RoboForm after having used the normal Portable RoboForm (Pass2Go) for almost a year. My wife's work computer recently went kaput and she was upset that she lost her bookmarks (Her IT department maintains a user driver for each and every use

I’ve tried several products to get good sitemaps of my sites and have always been disappointed. I’ve tried server-based scripts that are meant to be installed on the same server as the page being indexed and I’ve tried tools offered by other sites that create sitemaps. They all had one or more things in common:

I went to listen to voicemail via the web from work and could not get through to the server. I was using dyndns.com as a dynamic DNS service, since it was supported by my router, and it had been working well.
It appears that work is blocking ALL dynamic DNS service, becuase not only could I not access dyndns, but also no-ip, tzo, and dhs. So I had to come up with a workaround so I could check messages and such
Fortuneately, I've been using a script by Jon00 over at the HS message board that updates a device and emails my WAN IP whenever it changes. It also had the ability to create files and FTP them with the current IP. So, I created a frames page for each page I wanted to access remotely and put in the script's placeholder in place of the normal domain name or IP address. The script replaces the placeholder with the current IP address, saves the file to a new directory and then FTP's it to a user selected location. Now I have my browser call-up these frames pages instead of the old urls and it works great.
I also setup HomeSeer to automatically email me the current IP whenever I send it a message from a certain address or give it a specific command over the phone. This will be useful for manually entering the IP into remote desktop or other applications where I need to manually enter an IP
I've also been fortuneate that, despite being dynamic, my IP does not change very often. I think it's been the same for about a month now and probably won't change unless I either reset the DSL modem or the service is somehow interupted (which used to happen rather frequently but has now grown extremely reliable). Using the actual IP will also come in handy during times when the dynamic DNS prviders are down for some reason.
